What are wildifires and why do they start?

🌏The Earth is warming and The World Wildlife Fund has said there is a 13% increase to Global Fires.This is why we need to take ACTION.

What are wildfires?

Wildfires are fires in the forest which spread around acres of land.They can spread over acres of land causing lots of damage. Wildfires can ruin animal habitats and destroy millions of plants and trees. Firemen and animal rescuers help out in these circumstances. The fire can be blazing hot and some animals can even get hurt.

How can wildfire start?

There are a few ways wildfires can start:

• Human activity
• Dry bushes or trees
• Spark of oxgen or gas
• The weather or climate

Wildfires are very dangerous and if people live near the forest they may have to evacuate as their is so much smoke. Sometimes you can see the smoke filling the air if there is a really bad wildfire. In lots of countries there are wildfires such as USA or Australia as you ay have seen in the news.

What is the Fire Triangle?

The Fire Triangle is a name firefighters use for these three elements-Fuel,Oxygen and a heat source.These three elements can cause a fire

If there is a wildifire ow can you help?

If its near your house:

1. Sweep up all the leaves and twigs that can easily catch fire
2. Do not panic and stay calm

If its  not near your house:

1. You could invite your relatives over incase the fire is too bad near their house
2. Donate to charities to help them save animals and people
