Greta Thunberg is an environmental activist.She was born on the 3rd of January 2003 which means she is 17 years old today.Greta first learned about Climate Change when she was eight years old and became very confused when she saw no one was doing anything about it. When Greta was eleven she was so upset about Climate Change she temporarily did not speak to anyone.She has Asperger Syndrome[it affects how you socialise with people].Greta thinks that her condition is good at she says it her' ' superpower.' 'On August 2018 Greta decided to skip school and do a strike for the Climate instead in the Swedish Parliament. She wanted politicians to realise the big problem the Earth faced and to do something to stop Global Warming. 

Soon lots of people noticed her and ten thousands of students from around the world were skipping school on Friday to join Greta's #FridaysforFuture strikes.

On March 2019 Climate Change campaigners from around the world who were inspired by Greta made the first Global strike for the Climate.Over 1.6 million people and 125 countries took part in this strike.Greta has made loads of speeches to the UK, EU parliament and other Climate protesters.Greta was even nominated for a Nobel Peace prize!On August 2019 Greta Thunberg sailed from the UK to the USA on a wind and solar powered boat where she attended the United Nations Climate Action Summit.
